This refers to the report, “Grand Mosque imam denounces Asir attack as evil act, extreme corruption,” (July 8)
The imam has rightly said that the blast was actually committed by those who have chosen to be the tools of Satan.
The first thing Satan does is that it blocks the faculty of reasoning of every feeble mind. Or else, how can one explain a man’s resorting to suicide bombing when taking one’s own life is forbidden in Islam?
It therefore raises question about the very credibility of those terrorists like Daesh, Boko Haram and Al-Qaeda that take to suicide killings in the name of Islam. Either it is a highly planned operation by some intelligence agencies in the western world to plant such men of dark background or these mad people of are born more out of anti-West rage.
In both the cases, the sources of the current scourge seem to be somewhere in the midst of the European world or the United States. This can be understood also from the fact that most of the terrorists are the product of western educational institutions as also those joining terror outfits like Daesh are emanating from that very part of the world.
A commission of inquiry on Sept. 11 attack then would have thrown much light on the phenomenon. Such an enquiry was never held, burying in the debris of the twin towers perhaps best answers to several questions, which we are seeking today even after 15 years of the incident.
How true Imam Khayyat’s words delivered on Friday sermon rings to the ears: “Satan is your enemy. You also make Satan your enemy. The Satan calls you to join his party to be the people of the fire.”
